RYA Training and Courses

The Alderney Sailing Club is a recognised Royal Yachting Association Training Centre.

The Club offers VHF/GMDSS Radio Short Range Certificate Assessments which may be booked once an online RYA VHF/GMDSS Radio Short Range Certificate Course has been completed online. If you need this qualification please contact Tess Woodnutt on 07781 126 697 – email tesswoodnutt@cwgsy.net

JUNIOR DINGHY SAILING COURSES

The Sailing Club is running four RYA Dinghy Sailing Courses during the summer holidays. The courses are open to kids aged 10 (or nearly 10) to 16 and and each participant is required to become a Junior Member: £12

Day Skipper and Yacht Masters Courses 2019:

Day Skippers Course:  18-22 March (Monday to Friday)   09:00am to 4:00pm with a short lunch break.  Cost £330pp

Yacht Masters Course: 1– 5 April     (Monday to Friday)   09:00am to 4:00pm with a short lunch break.  Cost £330pp

Both theoretical courses will be run  by  the highly commended Guernsey Cruising Instructor John Frankland.

Please note we can only accommodate a maximum of ten students per course.

The cost of each course is £330pp and includes the course material. We do require a £50 deposit with your booking – by cheque (payable to the Alderney Sailing Club) , or cash /credit card payment at the Club). Please note this deposit will not be refunded should you subsequently decide not to attend.
