SUMMER SAILING WITH OYT SOUTH FOR YOUNG SAILORS AGED 14-25

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR KEEN YOUNG SAILORS 
TO JOIN THE OYT ( OCEAN YOUTH TRUST SOUTH)
ON THEIR NEXT VOYAGE TO THE CHANNEL ISLANDS
IN AUGUST

Further to yesterday’s news bulletin, we have received the email below from the OYT Office:

I wanted to let you know about an opportunity for young people aged 12-25 to come sailing for a week’s adventure on board our sail training yacht Prolific this summer. There are still spaces available on a few of our summer voyages, and I wondered if you know any young people that might want to take part?

I’ve included a copy of a flyer with more information about the trips. In particular, I would like to draw your attention to the following voyages:

1. 7^th – 13^th July, Brixham – Brixham, £710.
2. 3^rd – 9^th August, Brixham – Guernsey*, £710.
3. 30^th August – 4^th September, Brixham – Southampton, £605.

We also have a voyage which starts in Guernsey:

1. 10^th – 17^th August, Guernsey* – Poole, £815. This is a race against other sail training vessels, and includes the RNLI 200 celebrations (suitable for ages 14-25). For more details visit www.oytsouth.org/astorace

Any of these voyages would also be ideal for DofE Gold Residentials, and young people on board have a likelihood of gaining an RYA Start Yachting or RYA Competent Crew certificate as well. No previous sailing experience is required. You will need a passport to take part in this voyage. Please enquire about bursary funding for young people who can’t afford the full price
