Motorboat Rally to Dielette and Carteret – June 2025

Message from the organiser Les Stewart:

Dear Captains and Crew
    
I am resending this email for three reasons:
1. To stay in touch
2. To get any updates on your replies to my first email, as time has moved on.
3.  To be sure you receive Robert’s attachments which I believe some did not in the first email -please advise me if you don’t this time (my computer a skills are dodgy)

• Please advise :
  • Whether you plan to go to Dielette and Carteret .
  • Pse provide me with one mobile phone number per boat and try to keep it open. Mine, from France is +44 7781 466016
  • How many crew you expect to have on your boat. With the Rally some weeks away I’m sure these numbers will change, but an estimate now allows us to begin planning.
  • Some will stay on their boats , some may choose a hotel/ guest house. Robert has provided a list of hotels and an airbnb link. For those choosing a Hotel or airbnb pse arrange this yourselves with the contacts Robert has provided.
  • We will reserve lunch in Dielette on whichever Friday ( ie the 20th or 27th June)  we go. We hope L’Escale in the marina will be able to accommodate us for lunch. (They have since confirmed they can take us -they need our numbers of course)
  • We will try to find an equivalent in Carteret. I’m sure Hotel La Marine would accommodate us but some may consider it too expensive. We’ll investigate and keep you advised. I’m sure it will be good.
  • Robert has listed restaurants in both ports. Pse make your own arrangements for other meals.
  • Robert in his notes has explained what we understand you are meant to do relative to Dielette and Carteret immigration forms. We look to the Captains to act as you see fit on this.
  • We will communicate between boats on Channel 10
