| One of the prime objectives of the Alderney Sailing Club is to encourage the island’s young generation to take up sailing – and every year the club organises and hosts a series of junior training courses at different levels.
The courses for are part of the RYA’s “GET ONBOARD” Youth Sailing Scheme which are run by qualified instructors.
Having successfully completed Stage 1 and Stage 2 of this course, nine of the young sailors who took part in Stage 3 of the course this week, have all passed with flying colours!
Hugh Harrison, RYA Training Centre Sailing Principal , congratulated each of the youngsters and presented them with their certificates.
