Welcome to the Alderney Sailing Club

Alderney Sailing Club was formed in 1964 by a small band of enthusiasts to promote sailing in all its forms on the island. The  club's  membership has spread across many countries.

2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the Alderney Sailing Club and the celebration programme included a number  of race fixtures and social events. Celebrations concluded with the Laying Up Supper on 21 November and the inauguratioh of our ship-shape Sailing Club Deck on Sunday 23 November.

The deck, created by Alderney Sailing Club Member Ronnie Cairnduff, is a stunning landmark for seafarers as they head for Braye Harbour and features in this latest clip of the Titanic. To view, click here

The Alderney Sailing Club caters for different sailing interests ranging from dinghy sailing to blue water cruising. The club is a focal point for visiting yachtsmen and their crews and has an active junior section.

With a fleet of Lasers, Mirrors and Laser Picos, mostly owned by the club, junior members are especially welcome and RYA instructors run courses during the summer.

The Club house, with a prominent position at the harbour, is a welcoming place and any visiting yachtsperson can be guaranteed a warm reception. It is a meeting place for many overseas visitors.

In the summer months (May to end September) , the bar opens every evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and on Sundays from 12:00-2:00pm.

During the winter months (October to end April), bar hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Sundays from 12:00-2:00pm.
